Howdy everyone! Once again, White Listing Time!

Sailor Moon has been recognized as having Canonical Connections to the Puyo-pop Universe, Due to a Collaboration in the game Puyo Puyo Quest, In which Arle, Rulue and Ally have met, and even obtained Powers from the Sailor Moon Universe (evidenced by obtaining Make-up Forms, Which is the way the Sailor Scouts transform.)

Infact, this Puyo-Sailor Moon Collab is set to happen twice, with even more characters and forms coming to the Puyo World. So, Its pretty fair to say there's some good story reasoning for Sailor Moon being on Li, Especially as All of the characters who have met the Sailor Scouts are on Li in some shape or form.

So, Arguments For or Against Sailor Moon? Let us know below, So the staff can make a Well known decision!

Note: The Following is not a Defence or Debate against Sailor Moon being appable, But more a Plot Synopsis, so those that are unaware of Sailor Moon can make an informed decision/ask questions to elaborate on it!

Im also gonna be using American Names.

Sailor Moon is a Magical-Girl Shojo Manga./Anime Series made in 1991, Featuring the High school Life and Love life of 'Serena Tsukino', Your everyday bubbly highscool girl in modern japan, whom uses her Alter Ego as Sailor Moon, to fight the forces of the Dark Kingdom, Lead by the evil Queen Beryl. The Plot focusing on Serana's journey of herself, in order to discover more about the origins of her power as 'Sailor Moon', And the rest of her team, the Sailor Scouts, Amy/Sailor Mercury, The Dorky Science major of the group, Raye/ Sailor Mars, The Hot-headed Miko of the group, Lita/Sailor Jupiter, the Tall, fighting and electric charged of the group, and Mina/Sailor Venus, The Perky Dreamer and Guardian of Love and Beauty.

Sailor Moon is one of the original, and Face of Magical Girl Anime's, and its themes of Love and courage are unquestionable, While most fondly remembered for its 'Monster of the week' Episodes, features a deep cosmic-themed pantheon to explore in its more modern series, With foes like Wiseman, the Death Busters, Shadow Galactia It also helped make Anime mainstream in the west (Thankfully jumping the 'Americanization' Hurdle), Becoming one of the first most popular anime's, alongside Dragonball!

Don't know about arguing against it because honestly if it's allowed, I'm so hoping to bags Sailor Mercury. Always been my favourite and I'd hope I can lock her down should this go through, but I guess to the actual reason behind this thread. I don't see why they can't, they've had their fair share of games on Nintendo. I don't even know if they've had games elsewhere, to be honest, so it's a plus in their direction in that regard at least in my opinion. I'd love it if we could broaden it to more Magical Girls but I understand the trepidation we're taking, so I say go for it. There are reasons behind it, regarding connections to existing characters and the like. So I'm all for it

Ah... The Magical Girl Genre, so cute with its own flair, and Sailor Moon is the anime that ushered in the Renaissance of that genre as a whole.

I do not see why we shouldn't have this thing bring out more enjoyable adventures and whatnot, but first things first from me: unless you watch the anime, you would have a harder time pinning a good moveset down for a character from this series, I myself have difficulty with this at times. The games are not the only thing that are impactful in the series, as once an episode you have the monster of the day that you see the Sailor Senshi fight, sometimes you get to see them fight against the ones responsible and even the big bad of the season gets in on the action at a certain point in the series.

As for the anime itself, There are 5 seasons in total for the classic version, and quite possibly the reboot, the fifth season was never released outside of Japan for good reason so we Americans are forced to watch that season on anime streaming sites.

My answer will be yes here... My reasons for this is that like what Lucciola said, there were some games on Nintendo consoles, one actually came out overseas a long time ago but never reached american shores.

Honestly, the most obnoxiously anime things about Sailor Moon are already things we've imported to Li. Magical Girl Transformations and such. This series is almost a cultural icon in terms of its influence upon the magical girl genre...

Movesets might be a tiny bit difficult, depending on the character. But creativity can solve that. All of them do have martial arts potential. All of them have weapons. And you could just give them another weapon they found on Li if you wanted more versatility! I think they'd fit in just fine.

Does it have valid reason to be on the site: Yep! From what i know, This Sailor Moon Collab has a entire story and reasoning to happen. I'd say it fits.

Will Sailor Moon Unbalance the site in any way? Power Balance, Weapon skill, Etc.: Nope! Fights are pretty magic heavy in Sailor Moon, with some martial arts thrown in, and thats most of what the MGS does on a day to day basis.

Will Sailor Moon Not Fit in on the general mood of Li?: I'd say it fits really well. The MGS is a whole thing, after all. And we've had literal Sailor Moon inspired items before.

What does SM Have to Offer Li?: A Cast of cute girls, Magic's, Potential mission set-ups we have never had on Li before, PLUS the potential for new sailor scouts with the rest of the smash cast? Sounds pretty dang sweet.

Does Sailor Moon have Games on Nintendo?: Yep,

Do they have games where abilities can be taken and translated into Li Logic?: Beat'em ups, fighting games, RPG's and More!

In Conclusion: I dont see any harm in Sailor Moon appearing in Smash, or on this Site. I say let them in.

Im fie with this. I grew up wit sailor moon and ive actually played all those sailo moon games for NES and SNES at one point or another. I say yes to sailor moon because it has had an influence in nintendo, even if it was back in the 90s.
